Automobile air conditioning hoses usually adopt a multi-layer structure. For example, a five-layer automobile air conditioning hose has an inner rubber layer, a nylon shielding layer, a middle rubber layer, a polyester fiber reinforcement layer, and an outer rubber layer from the inside to the outside. This structural design can prevent seepage layer by layer and effectively reduce the permeability of the refrigerant.

Inner rubber layer and middle rubber layer: Usually chloroprene rubber (CR) is used as the main material, which has excellent anti-permeation performance and shows low permeability to refrigerant R1234yf. At the same time, it has small compression permanent deformation and is resistant to compressor oil (such as PAG and POE). The inner rubber material has little precipitation of substances to avoid contamination of the air conditioning system.

Nylon shielding layer: Made of nylon 6, it has good toughness, shock resistance and heat resistance, and can further reduce the penetration of refrigerant.

Polyester fiber reinforcement layer: provides sufficient strength to withstand working pressure, has high modulus and good shape retention, prevents the pipeline from hollowing and collapsing, and ensures the smooth flow of the pipeline.

Cover: Usually chlorobutyl rubber (IIR) or ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM) is used, which has good weather resistance, heat resistance, moisture resistance and low air permeability. It also has high damping characteristics for low-frequency vibrations and can reduce vibration and noise.

In a car's air conditioning system, the air conditioning pipes are the "blood vessels" connecting key components (compressor, condenser, evaporator, fluid storage tank, etc.). They transport the refrigerant, circulating it between different states to achieve the cooling effect. For example, when the driver turns on the air conditioning, the compressor compresses the low-pressure gaseous refrigerant into a high-temperature, high-pressure gas. This gas is then fed through a high-pressure pipe to the condenser, where it dissipates the heat and becomes a high-pressure liquid. This liquid then passes through a throttle tube or expansion valve into the evaporator, where it quickly becomes a low-temperature, low-pressure gas, absorbing heat from the vehicle and delivering cool air. Throughout this process, the high-pressure and low-pressure pipes, as well as the rubber hoses, perform both transmission and sealing functions. If the pipes leak or become clogged, the entire air conditioning system will not function properly.
